About
Providence Academy is an international school operating in Les Cayes, Haiti. The school was established in 2015 by Ashley Wojton, Brenda Wojton, and Gerta Pierre. We currently have 54 students enrolled and 8 full-time staff members. We use the Accelerated Christian Education curriculum at our school. The students are on an individualized plan that allows them to work at their own pace to ensure each student is able to reach his or her full potential. The curriculum is Christian based which means it also focuses on teaching the students about God's love and how to be more like Jesus. The curriculum is all in English, but we make sure learning French is a priority too. This will allow students to continue higher education in Haiti if they wish. We also have a weekly Haitian studies & geography class to ensure the students learn about their culture, history, and the community around them. The students also participate in special classes including gym, art, speech and writing, Bible, STEM, and computers.
